It's time to say goodbye to My Agility Board.

This has been a long time coming but I cannot put it off much longer. It's time for me to shut down My Agility Board. This will happen on 31st August 2019.

I built this app when I was in uni in 2012 and found myself frustrated at the lack of basic online Agile Boards that I could just declare a bunch of columns and stick a bunch of stickies onto. Even now I still don't think there's much offering this functionality out there.

At the time, I rushed out a bunch of super messy PHP code and built this site. Soon my classmates were asking to use it, and so it went public.

Since uni I have worked fulltime as a front end developer. Over the years I've regularly wanted to update My Agility Board to have a proper restful backend and super speedy front end, but I've simply not had the time to do this.

I'm now married, I have kids, the one thing I don't want to do after a full day in the office is start coding, nor do I have the time to.

And as some may have noticed, this has affected My Agility Board badly. It's getting old, as the linux box I host all my stuff on gets upgraded, bugs in the old PHP code pop up. Bugs I don't have time or knowledge to fix.

The truth is that very few people are using My Agility Board anymore. I just checked the Analytics for it and apparently I haven't had a day with more than 20 users since March.

To you few people who have stuck around to use it, you're awesome, thank you, but it's time to say goodbye.

Thanks for using My Agility Board, the site will shut down on 31st August. When that happens, I'll also be deleting the database and all backups, so you can rest assured that any data you stored on my server will be gone forever.

With that in mind, I recommend you get to work saving any data you wish to keep elsewhere.

Thanks again,
